The Capital BookFest Expands to Three Cities This Year!

Since 2005, the Capital BookFest (CBF) has brought hundreds of authors, and thousands of readers, together for a festive and insightful day of readings, panels, storytelling, and exhibitors. From celebrity authors like Victoria Rowell, Nikki Giovanni, and Tim Reid to Pulitzer-prize Winning Authors Edward P. Jones and Douglass Blackmon; from bestselling novelists like Victoria Christopher Murray and Marita Golden, to Children's authors Shane Evans, Elena & Elizabeth, and Eloise Greenfield; from the talented Book-in-a-Day teen authors, to the emerging and self-published authors, the Capital BookFest takes the words off the page, and brings books alive.

In the Fall of 2010, we will take the show on the road, continuing our mission to Strengthen Families Through Reading, in:

Harrisburg, PASeptember 18, 2010
Largo, MD
October 2, 2010
Charleston, SC
—November 6, 2010

Thank you to all of the authors, families, sponsors and supporters, like you, who have made our journey successful. Kwame Alexander, Founder/Producer
